if you are buying more than a hundred dollars worth, i recommend driving to Mid-America Fireworks in Rensallaer, IN. couple hours each way, good prices and selection, call ahead to confirm hours.

if more than a thousand dollars, make the drive to missouri and go to one of the big stores there. the prices are cheap for almost everything, and selection is huge.

be careful using the stores just inside the indiana border. illinois officials will occasionally set up stings if they see you load up fireworks in the trunk with your illinois car tag, and confiscate yer stash as soon as you cross the border.

Try Dynamite Fireworks in Hammond, Indiana. Very close to Chicago off the Skyway. As per my other answers here tonight to these older questions, you are missing out if you don't try these guys. Along with other great brands, this place carries the same SHOWTIME product as the Mid America Store mentioned in the original answer...but you have 2 hours drive time and you save money vs the Mid America retail prices.
