For a short time maybe--then the shy person turns into a shy alcoholic.

If you drink lots of alcohol people stand around and point at you, even though you are on the floor twitching like a rare steak, the fact that they are poining makes you interesting. Therefore, yes it does albeit in not the right way.

Alcohol reduces your inhibitions so you are more likely to do and/or say things you wouldn't if you were not under the influence. And that's not necessarily a good thing. You may do or say something stupid and live to regret it. There are better ways to become more interesting than drinking.

It makes the world more interesting to the drunk - not to those who have to babysit them. A little goes a long way though, so yeah it can make a person loosen up - but being around a drunk is annoying.

yes it can make people more sociable but once they're sober they're back to normal so it doesn't really count, personally i hate drinking, i'm only 16 and basically all of my friends are into heavy drinking at least once a week and i get called boring cos i don't drink at parties and i find the people who do drink become alot less desirable to talk to cos nothing they say makes sense and all they do is trey to make sober people drink, does my head in!

If you have ever been the only sober person in amonst a bunch of people who are drunk, you soon realise that its only them that think they are really funny/interesting/sexy etc etc. To me, as someone who can't drink and doesn't enjoy it anyway, there's far more going for someone that can just be themselves without drugging themselves to be something they're not.

Yeah i believe but sometimes it can make you talk so much things that are not supposed to be talked. If you are shy then you become a parrot.
