Don't make them go to bed when it is light outside-- that was a horror for me as a child. Wear them out earlier, give them a bath before bed, give them wind down time 30 minutes before they need to sleep.

Get blackout curtains. They will make the room dark and you will hardly be able to tell that it's still light outside. Hopefully they'll be that tired from racing round all day with their friends, etc, that they will go straight to sleep!

Darker room is a good idea, but also just try to explain that since it is summer the sun stays up longer, works for my kids.

Interesting that you dont provide contact info.! I'd like to hear how you justify your response to my question. I HAVE read the Qu'ran! I have read the Old and New Testaments of the Christian Bible. Where do you find your "so-called" "peace" in Islam??!

you could try room darkening shades. they are not expensive and you can get them at home depot or walmart. I have a five month old who already dont want to be in his crib unless the room is dark. good luck.

give the child one priviledge but the catch is that he/she has to sleep whenever you want him/her to. It should work better with more priviledges
