"Lost Elysium" Aluusion?

"With my concealed and racking regrets for my broken idol and lost elysium..." (C. Bronte's "Jane Eyre" ch. 30)

Don't know what this means at all and I can't remember what she's talking about in general.

Elysium was a pagan expression that passed into the usage of the Christian writers as a synonym for paradise.

Lost Elysium = Lost Paradise
