It entirely depends on the person. I have never met a parent who hated their child for voting differently than them but I am sure it has happened. I do, however, know of a republican who's child is a liberal and it never has caused any problems other than the libreral poking fun at the republicans every once in a while.

No, but they'd have to wonder what they did wrong when raising him/her. Of course, peer pressure plays into a lot, as does the need to a child to reject his parent's beliefs in order to prove independence. But still -- having a child vote Republican -- that would be a heartbreaker for sure.

probably not, that's part of what makes someone liberal. but liberals vote for republicans, too, if the person is better than the alternative candidate(s) once again, that's what makes a liberal a liberal

What is with your fixation with liberals?! Did they knock down the Trade Towers on 9/11? Or are they a false target for conservatives so that Bush looks better. Feh.

My 20 year old grand daughter is as Liberal as a Liberal can get. We try really hard not to talk politics or religion. (she does not believe in God) she had all liberal teachers. It's hard on me because I used to be one and it took many years to learn that it was totally against all of my morals and beliefs. I love her anyway!!

I don't think anyone would ever hate their own child for voting a particular way. They might disagree and those disagreements might cause arguments, but I think that's as far as it would go.
