I'm thinking about wearing coloured contact lenses and if someone asks me I won't lie about it but I want to know what people will think. Will they be disappointed that they're not real?

I think of colored contacts like I do any other make-up product. If it makes you feel better and look better, you can use them if you want.
That said, I do feel a bit disappointed when I compliment some one on their beautiful eyes and then find out that it's not their natural eye color.

I wear them sometimes and I like how they look. I've gotten many compliments and I tell people they are contacts. It doesn't make a difference. I don't wear them all the time because I don't feel real and natural but they're fun sometimes.

One time a guy asked me if my eyes were really this blue or if I was wearing contact lenses. I was a little offended and I don't think he believed me when I said they were really that blue.

Absolutetly not, i think it is wonderful to be able to change your eye color, it is a bit like wearing lipstick or lipliner, it's just something to enhance what God already gave you. I think it would be nice to have the opportunity to change eye colors. I had a mentor in college that had the most beautiful eyes, one day i asked her if that was her natural color, and she told me no, they were colored contacts... that made me admire her all the more for being honest... I'd ask what colour they were really and then if you said a nice colour, I'd ask why you wanted to wear coloured contacts.

I wouldn't be disappointed if I like the color
enough then I would probably ask where you got them because I would like to get them myself. Also you shouldn't not get them when you want them just because your afraid about what others may think.

If someone is shallow enough to be disappointed based on the color of you eyes you shouldn't care what they think.

Well if I tell them that I like their eyes I don t see why the fact that they are contacts should change my opinion!! If I like the eyes, I like them.. End of story..

I don't think so.
An aquaintance of mine has amethyst eyes. I know for certain they're coloured contacts, but I still like them well enough.
