If you are so thirsty to wake up to drink water, it "could" be a a sign for diabetes, I think. I am defintely not a doctor, but someone told me this. I hope that is not the case with you.

yes it will affect you kidneys. people don't generally know this but you can actually drink too much water. it can flood your system flushing out necessary vitamins and minerals from your system. stop drinking water at least 2 hours before bed. and don't consume more than the suggested 8-10 8 ounch servings per day.
