Given the fact that the Muslim world almost in it´s entirety rejects the State of Israel, and with the often trigger-happy dosposition of the State of Israel, (I wouldn´t want them as my neighbour) is it all worth it? Isn´t it time we, the western world , start listening to the world of Islam? We cannot wish them away.
Israel kills innocent civilians nearly every day. (What'll happen if coalition soldiers act the same way?)
Fact: The existence of Israel is the cause of a lot of terrorism in the world, and we are also the victims. I don´t like this idea too much. (I think the Israelis invented terrorism)
Fact: If, as is said, Israel brings stability to the Middle East, tell me another joke.
Fact: If, as is said, Israel destabilises the Middle East, (and by extension, the world,) I would have to agree.
So why should I and my family, (and you and yours) who have nothing to do with the whole mess, be in danger of being killed or maimed?
I definitely DON'T like this idea at all

Please read SAVO's answer, with an OPEN mind. We are not listening! There are none so deaf as those who won't LISTEN! Not all Muslims are radical, but while we refuse to listen to them, more and more are becoming desperate. What is causing this desperation?

actually i agree with u me as Muslim Arabic person who live close to Israel ( very close)
Israel is the only state that we all know for sure own mass destruction weapon in the middle east i mean and the whole world knows that
but when Muslim country (iran) want to have peaceful and non harmful program all the west state against it( not all) but the majority
we don't hate the Jews or their religion but we hate to be kicked out and killed coz of them they killed thousand of Muslims and Arabic ppl
but no one care as if the Arabic blood is cheap ( as in Iraq)
i believe it depend on who got the power as USA and Israel control the world coz they can while we are weak coz of many reasons
but we cant be weak all along in shaa Allah some day soon Allah( god) will help us to regain our rigths and live in peace all of us without war
finally i think its a great question and i am happy to know that some ppl believe in our case ( specially in the west) thanks

Israel is far from trigger happy- they have not been the aggressor in any of the wars in the area- it has been the surrounding Arab states that have attacked Israel! And thise Arab states willing to make peace, such as Jordan and Egypt, have done very nicely with peace from Israel- getting back land they lost in 1967 and benefitting from trade agreements.
As for Israel killing civilians- remove the terrorists from within the civilian population and when Israel returns fire against the terrorists there would be no civilian casualties- it is tragic that the terrorists like to use civilians as human shields- but that is their fault, not the Israelis!
So put the blame where it belongs- on terrorists who refuse to see any solution but a completely Jew free area- Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the rest of the alphabet soup of terrorist organisations have charters calling for the klilling of every Jew- and yet people expect Israel to make nice wioth people whose stated aim is to kill its population!
As for your 'facts" -
Israel is not the cause of terrorism - the first Islamic terrorist group dates back to as early as 1930- the Black Hand and started by Sheikh Kassam (and after whom Hamas and Islamic Jihad name the missiles they fire at Israel). So the first terrorists were Islamic fundamentalist- and they invented terrorism.
Israel brings stability to the area it is in with Egypt and Jordan- it is Syria that has a state of war declared against Israel- not the other way round. And Iraq has zero to do with Israel, that is an US war and has to do with Islamic fundamentalist hatred of everything that is not Islam.

Because those who call for the destruction of Israel will not stop when Israel is gone. Have you had your head in the sand?
The Wahhabi fundamentalists are using Saudi oil money to proselytize Islam into Africa and beyond. They seek a world that follows the laws of Islam. They do not hate us over Israel, that is the Palestinians. They hate us because WE are infidels who break their God's laws.

Because they have a right to their own country and freedom just like America and all other free countries. The Islamic nations want their land and therefore deny its right to exist. If their claim is true than America has no right to exist either. It is a good cause. All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

The only democratic country in the Middle East. Israel is the only genuinely democratic state in the Middle East. It is committed to freedom and equality, and the rule of law. It embodies the fundamental values that are in tune with those of America and that America has traditionally supported. Israel's military and political importance in the Middle East and its strategic position stabilize the entire area, including the oil fields of the Persian Gulf. During the Cold War, it was America's indispensable rampart against the inroads and expansionist ambitions of the Soviet Union. It is now a western bulwark against the aggressive intents of Iran and other bellicose nations that threaten the interests of the United States. It is a most reliable partner in the promotion of Western strategic interests and in the stabilization of the Middle East. Over 20% of its budget goes for defense, compared to 7% in the U.S. and less than 1% in Japan. Israel has one of the best armies in the world. Its navy and air force are the major deterrent forces in the eastern Mediterranean.
Israel effectively secures NATO's southeastern flank, without having a single American soldier stationed in its territory. Still, the superb military installations, the air and sea lift capabilities, the equipment and food storage capacity, and the trained manpower to maintain and repair sophisticated U.S. equipment are instantly at hand in Israel. It is the only country in the area that makes itself available to the United States, in any contingency.
Only fraction of aid stays in Israel. There is no other country in the Middle East except Israel that can be considered to have a stable government or populace friendly to the United States. There is much danger that any military aid to Arab countries, and military equipment given or sold to them, will suffer the same fate as the untold billions of dollars and priceless military secrets that were lost to our enemies in the debacle of Iran. Is Saudi Arabia more stable? Egypt? Jordan? Kuwait? Judge for yourself!
Only a fraction of the aid given stays in Israel. By far the largest share remains with American defense contractors. Peter McPherson, former administrator of the Agency for International Development, estimated that every billion dollars of aid to Israel creates 60,000 to 70,000 jobs in the United States.
Compared to the $2.0 billion yearly military aid to Israel, the U.S. contributes more than $130 billion(!) every year to the defense of Europe and more than $30 billion to the defense of Japan, Korea, and the Far East. Over 300,000 U.S. troops are stationed with NATO and over 30,000 U.S. troops in the Far East. In contrast, not one single U.S. soldier needs to be stationed and put at risk in Israel. U.S. military analysts estimate that the U.S. would have to spend the equivalent of $150 billion a year in the Middle East to maintain a force equivalent to Israel's.
There are many other benefits that the U.S. military derives from Israel. Israel is the only country that has gained battlefield experience with U.S. weapons. This experience is immediately conveyed to the U.S. Enormous quantities of captured Soviet weapons and defense systems were turned over to the U.S. military for analysis. Israel, in the light of its experience, continually modifies U.S. weapons systems. For instance, Israeli scientists have made over 200 improvements in the F-15 alone and similar improvements, mostly in avionics, in later-generation planes. It would be more in line with reality if military aid to Israel were classified as part of the defense budget, rather than as "aid". Israel is truly America's unsinkable aircraft carrier in the Middle East. Former President Reagan put it well: "The fall of Iran has increased Israel's value as perhaps the only remaining strategic asset in the region on which the United States can fully rely." American aid to Israel is a two-way street. Aid to Israel is America's greatest defense bargain.
