When I got here I was surprised... police will just stop traffic to let celebrities go through intersections without stopping... interesting... what about those paris hilton incidents? anyone else got some interesting money vs justice scenarios?

once you allow loopholes and exceptions for celebrities and anyone deemed significant, you destroy democracy. You can't be democratic and allow exceptions.

We, well I shouldn't say we, but nearly evreyone in America is a moral absolutist, they want to see that nothing happenes to peope highlited in the media. The conflict between the moral absolutist of a person and their actions that lead to the benefit of their own self is interesting to watch, especially in America. People that watch somebody on TV who they think is harming the country could easily mistake the actions benefiting one's self for the actions that benefit an entire country. Sometimes this leads to the person on TV getting killed. Just like John Kennedy or Abraham Lincoln.

Youre absolutely right....Money talks...bullshit walks...You know alot of our police and politicians are crooked ....way back when ...oh wow...its been years and years that our govt and civil leaders are all crooked and as for Celebrities...they have the money to pay off these poor Saps....I agree with u,,,Paris Hilton...she is a rich woman with not enough to do..she has no real goals or anything to reach for...except her nose...

Excuse me, but do you know what the meaning of "crooked" is? It has nothing to do with letting celebrities through traffic, and letting them through has nothing to do with their money, it has to do with their fame and the danger to them from idiots who like to take pot-shots at anyone famous. It is a security measure, not a measure of how wealthy they are.
