Maybe she has a different sort of ambition to the other two. The middle child often feels somewhat lost in it all, but if she is happy and healthy and is growing up knowing what's right and wrong in society, then surely that's the main thing?

You don't say how old she is, but give her time and love and let her be her own person. Chances are she'll surprise everyone with what she achieves.

You prefer the two ambitious ones. Thats sad. Shame you can't appreciate her for her good qualities.
If you keep going on at her about how well the other two are doing you'll never change her mind. She's probably already tired of hearing it.

I am not ambitious, that doesn't make me less of a person than my siblings. Some are ambitious some not. From experience she will probably have a happier (contented) life. Wish her well from me.

Maybe not, but we need to accept them as they are & motivate them in their own individual ways.

Check their self esteem. That middle one may just seem lost in the family for some reason? Does he/she know their place and like it? If not, help them to find it. Will save them a lot of emotional challanges in adulthood.

Just make sure you don't ask her why she can't be more like your other two. She'll end up feeling resentful and not try to be ambitious.

She will watch them. of course she will desire it when she gets to the level of interest. What are you doing to help her get there?

Probably not. But you have to love them for who they are anyway.
