No one has yet landed on Mars. The moon landing (yes, there really was a moon landing) is the basis for the next orbital flight to the solar system using Apollo as an example. Some designs use multiple spacecrafts to provide food, water and fuel along the way, with the ability of a facility sent ahead carrying liquid hydrogen to transpose that (hydrogen) into methane fuel using the carbon dioxide out of the martian atmosphere, and produce breathable oxygen for the return trip home. This on-site facility will also provide a habitation and food/water stores for living on the planet's surface until a launch window opens up again in about 6-9 months. (The orbital dynamics of the Earth/Mars system says that we will have to take about 1.5-2 years to make a round trip.) We (Planet Earth) have the technology now to go to Mars, but unfortunately, it will take a multi-national effort in time, talent and money to get there. The Apollo program cost the U. S. about 1 billion dollars, the shuttle program cost about 3 billion. The estimate to go to Mars is about 50 billon (with a 'B'). This is clearly more than a single nation can come up with in such times as ours with economic/political rivalries all over the globe. I hope this answers your question.

No human has landed on Mars, but we have sent several unmanned robots. First there were two Viking Landers back in 1976 to find evidence of life. But more recently in 2004, we've sent two Martian Rovers, which discovered evidence of water flowing on the surface of Mars billions of years ago.

No body has landed on mars. We have landed many robotic devices. Right now we have two mars rovers in operation that are currently exploring the mars surface. If you want to see updates on these, just go to thte jet propulsion's laboratory web site.

I was there a few years ago. But, my Electro-Magnetic Gravity Control is out at this time, so, I am grounded again. Need some new Directional Coils. They Burn out a lot, depends on the Gravity of the planet I visit.
