My mom and I go on an Annual road trip. We leave from the Maryland/D.C. area. We went to New Orleans last year. Anybody know any neat landmarks. Like worlds largest ____, etc. Anyone know any destinations within about 1,000 miles. Thanks

Newfoundland.
Quebec City.
Upstate New York - Andirondacks, Finger Lakes, Fort Ticonderoga, etc.
Go visit the Viking ruins in Massachusetts (I forgot where they are located).
