I really like these two shows and would love to just be an extra on the show, especially SG-1, i'll settle for atlantis if thats all i could get, i live in tacoma, wa so i know im close to where its filmed, just a couple hours away

You probably have to go through an agent unless the shows announce auditions. Call/write/e-mail the shows and ask.

Well, if you don't live in LA, then you are out of luck as both of those shows cast out here. If you are in LA, and want to be an extra, then you should go be part of 'Central Casting'. They cast the majority of the extras on TV and movie projects.

Those shows only see actors submitted by their agent or manager. Ask yours to submit you.
