That's how my son was. A big boy. When he was 6 months old he was wearing size 12/18 months. But he wasn't a chunky baby either.
He's now 4 years old weight 58 pounds and wears a size 7/8. He wears a boys size 2 shoe. He's not chunky but very solid and tall. He's about the height of a 6 year old.
Enjoy that big baby and get ready for all those comments how big he is =)

Well, my baby was big, but he wore 3-6 months at 2 months old. He is now 14 months and wears 18 months clothes. You just have a very healthy baby.

My son is 3 months old and he was born big. He was born just 1 day after the "premature" mark and he weighed 8lbs and was 21''. The doctor commented that if I had gone to my due date she would have been afraid to see the size of him! At two months he began wearing 3-6mth and now his feet are so big his toes are about ready to pop out of his footie pj's. I was concerned about his weight because by his 2mth checkup he had already gained 5 lbs, but his doctor said at this age his body knows when he needs to be fed and he will eat whenever and however much he needs and that was normal. Your baby's healthy and that's a good thing.

All babies are different, my first child was 9.5 lbs. Alot of the newborn to 3 months clothes did not fit her at all. She went straight to 3-6 months and 6-9 months. Now my son is very small, he is five and still fits 3T and 4T clothes. I wouldn't worry to much about it, your baby sounds like he is doing great.

My baby was borned May 25th 8 pounds 4 ounces... now at 17 days old he is already 9 pounds 3 ounces...
Newborn clothes still fit him, but some are already getting tight...
Also, my brother was borned 9 pounds 14 ounces...
Every baby is different, so it is possible for newborns to use bigger clothes according to their size...

every child is different and grows at different rates. My boys grew right on the schedule of age and infant clothes, however my nephew was born huge and continues to be huge. He sounds like he is growing at the same rate as your child. Don't worry too much about it. When he has his next well baby check up talk to your doctor about it, so that he can ease your worries.
Good luck

My baby was average at 7 pounds. All kids are different though so i wouldn't worry. I can't see you overfeeding a 2 month as he is just on breast milk or formula right? Just embrace who he is and always buy your clothes bigger so they will fit for a while
