I am a first-time traveller, and will be travelling alone. I need a few pointers on how to get started. Where can I go to find good deals on vacation packages. ( I am residing in Toronto, ON ). I have not yet made-up my mind if perhaps I plan to travel within Canada or outside. ( Any good suggestions on vacation destinations? )

There are lots of great things to see close to you.
Quebec and the maritimes are beautiful and close (everything in Canada is beautiful - except maybe Regina).
The Rocky Mountains (Glacier National Park is fantastic) and BC are something that everybody should see.
You should definitely see as much of Canada as possible.
Or if you want something more tropical there are package vacations to Mexico (go to the Caribbean side if you go). Mexico is nice and fairly cheap.
