Most definitely. My question is why he is not the leading vote getter for catchers. It seems insane that Jason Varitek is the leader so far. He is a below average catcher on a popular team. I suppose it is similar to Yao Ming being the starting center for the next 20 all-star games regardless of his actual performance.

it is not up to one indvidual person, but by votes although they are rigged, but most of the time the right players do go. he looks like a good candidate, 2nd team perhaps.
