Tough question. I suppose the obvious answer is that Sven thinks he's one of the best strikers in England. A better question might be why is Theo Walcott playing for England. In any case, I would have liked to see Darren Bent selected in the squad, he was the highest scoring Englishman in the Premiership this season, surely worth a call up.

Mr Crouch is currently one of the best performing player in the squad, He has height and skill he just need a good striker to support him.............say for example Wayne Rooney

Because standing at 6'7" he's really inimidating to defenders and can easily get high enough o put his head on the ball and into the net without any trouble from the other team or keeper.
