Wash 'em again.

Wash them again on the longest cycle your machine has, using 2 times the normal detergent, plus 1 cup Lysol liquid cleaner, letting them soak in the wash cycle overnight, and 2 times the normal fabric softener. If this doesn't work, repeat these steps, but add a box of Arm & Hammer baking soda to the wash cycle.

Good luck.

Run the clothes through the wash cycle again, but pour in 1/2 baking soda with your soap.

I've always had good luck washing them again and hanging outside to dry, it that's possible where you live. Never a lingering smell after that.

Just wash them again. That's the only thing I know of that works.

If they have been left only a day or so, drying them with a drying sheet usually works. If longer, you need to wash them again.
