THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN'S THINKING PATTERNS, CASE IN POINT -- HIS AND HER
DIARY ENTRIES FOR THE SAME 24 HOUR PERIOD.

HER DIARY

Saturday night I thought he was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a bar to have a drink. I was Shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was late, but he made no comment. Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed but he kept quiet and absent.

I asked him what was wrong. He said "nothing". I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had nothing to do with me and not to worry. On the way home, I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say "I love you too". When we got home, I felt as if had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV. He seemed so distant and absent. Finally, I decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed and, to my surprise, he responded to my caress and we made love, but I still felt that he was distracted and his thoughts where somewhere else. I decided that I could not take it anymore, so I decided to confront him with the situation but he had fallen asleep. I started crying and cried until I too fell asleep. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

HIS DIARY

Wow, where to begin. Physically, the brains of men and women are wired differently. The two hemispheres have more interconnectedness in a woman, and thus they communicate better. This in part explains the ability of women to multitask (do several activities at once, and do them well), while men really can't, they indeed do have one track minds.

However, men's brains have developed better to handle the three dimensional world, which is why they can move in the spatial world more easily, doing thing like parallel parking, etc. Women can "learn" to do this, but it's less intuitive.

When it comes to communication, the differences are apparent again. Women tend to have a vocabulary twice as large as the average man, and they use it more intensively. Guys just aren't wired very well to be good communicators.

The big question is does that make us into two very different beings? The answer is not really; there's a lot of crossover, and everyones brains develop with different nuances. Add to that the varied way in which people are raised, and you get a lot of variability. Also, cultures add their own restrictions; look at what happens in societies where women are kept under tight supervision, and not allowed to use their talents and abilities.

This question reminds me of a Seinfeld episode when Jerry talks about tv remote controls. He said ' Men switch from station to station as they are the hunters. Women watch a channel to see what the show is about because they are nesters'.
There may be the answer in that. I don't know, I think it's funny because that does happen.

It seems that women, when posed with a question or problem, look to the resolution of the problem then take the necessary steps backward to try to resolve it.
Maybe men just act on the first impulse they have to resolve the question at hand

BTW..no one would think if there wasn't a question to be answered

Women are more contextual and go from a concrete thing to general; and men reverse: from general things to details.

In this way, women initiatives may lack resources and good wishes may stay in heads.

And men initiatives may lack sense more often, they may be however actively developed and cause disproportions in society life and tensions thus. (Masculine element embraces also females attracted to men initiatives by money and carrier opportunities without big access to ideological things and top management.) Lack of contextual thinking help men to finish projects "successfully" and evaluation of it are made by persons alike.

Men are like Rollce Royce Cars - Classy and Big
Women are like "Pinto" - Small and Cheap

I think, women think more emotionally and men think more logically, unfortunately this is a downfall for both genders as one has a hard time understanding the other.
I am not saying that one can't think like the other, just in general it is the way it is.
