Yes, I talk to myself, but only sometimes. As I write this I'm trying to recall when and/or where I do that.

When I go for a long walk I'll get deep into thought and have conversations with myself. Sometimes I realize I'm talking out loud. Other times when I'm focusing on work I'll talk myself through things. There are times when I'm scrambling to get things done or wrapping up things for the day and I'll ask myself out loud, "Is that all?" Or, "Okay, what else am I doing?"

I am multi-faceted...and I multi-task~ I use to read 8 books per day and nearly2400 words per minute. Conversation is something that is hailed to sentient and insentient beings. Yes, I talk to myself and actually reply with the correct answer? I laugh at myself too....all alone...Yes...this IS true. I admonish myself, and cheer myself on. Perhaps coming from a large family, the eldest of 9 may have had some play in this. Whatever the case, my mind is a GREAT place to be in...and only I have the keys! *wink*

I do all the time. Sometimes I'll do it while grocery shopping or when I'm hunting for stuff at garage sales. It's funny cuz sometimes I think Im being quiet and of course people can hear me, Especially if their is a hot guy around (imma gay) I usually say something aloud in spanglish. Yes, I know I maybe a little ill.
But I am happy right now. I'm actually thinking of sticking a little piccalo in my ear so people will say "oh , has one of those new little ear cell phones".

I talk to myself because I like talking to intelligent people...now talking to yourself and answering yourself is something different...I think I do it because I have a lot on my mind and I need to keep track of it...or I am trying to work out something difficult so I can see whether I am over-reacting or should really be upset...I think its perfectly healthy to talk to yourself...

Yes , when I'm alone to amuse myself or just hear another voice. Sometimes I do it in public, sort of thinking out loud, but people look at you as if you're missing a few marbles and then if you have to interact with them (like at the store) they put on this patient look like "I have to be nice, but I'm not going to get too friendly, because this idiosyncrasy might just be the tip of a very weird iceberg." So yes and no to your question, depending on the circumstances.

I prefer the terminology "thinking out loud" myself. I do it usually when I working on a particullary trying task and have come to the point where I have to choose a fork in the road and I am debating myself the good and bad points of each choice.

Yeah. Sometimes, just to here my voice talking through available options for a difficult problem. I guess that sounds crazy, but I think it helps me to hear the solutions said out loud.

Not at all. I'm the kind of person who speaks at the same time while thinking.
When I see people talking to themselves, they look like they have gone through a big emotional attack and have not recovered yet.

All the time. Especially when I'm trying to remember something or figure something out. And sometimes I argue with myself out loud. That's not so bad but it's annoying when the other side wins the argument.
