I would say no. I feel completely comfortable with both my body and my soul.

No. Some choose to be gay others feel that they are born gay. There are studies that show that the brain of a homosexual male does resemble the brain of a female, but the studies were done in adult males so they do not indicate if the person was born that way or if it is a result of learning. There may just be a genetic disposition for it similar to alcoholism.

Well, gay and "wrong body" isn't the right comparison.

Gay men (for example) believe themselves to be men, and are in the "right body" -- they are just sexually attracted to men.

Transsexual men (who want to be female) more commonly refer to the "wrong body" scenario -- they feel like what they think a female feels like, have a self-identity of female, but are in a "male" body. (And vice versa for F2M transsexuals.)

God gets drawn in because many faiths have stuck with the idea that your physical sex is given at birth, that it's the physical sex God wanted you to have, and thus you should try to make it work somehow.

Technically, God would not "make mistakes," but obviously we have cases of horrible deformities at birth (not just related to the sexual anatomy) -- things that we obviously believe God did not intend to happen and are simply genetic or biological flukes. So we do have to at least accept the *possibility* that such things could occur.

As far as causes of homosexuality or cross-gender identification goes, no one has pinpointed a direct genetic or environmental cause. People will sometimes strongly promote one or the other, but so far there is no clear answer... and it's probably a combination of biology, environmental influence, and small personal incremental choices that result in an adult's orientation.

(Even researchers who are themselves homosexual, such as Hamer or LeVay, admit as much.)

Note: As far as animal homosexuality goes, it's more an aberration and differs in many ways from the homosexual identity expressed by human beings.

Two points, for example: (1) animal homosexual sex is often used as a means of social dominance or conflict avoidance rather than as "personal preference," and (2) animal drives can easily become confused (such as when animals cannibalize their young), yet we don't consider those "natural" because they're not viable from an evolution point of view.

(It's also a rarity, according to LeVay.)

Being a gay has nothing to do with being in the wrong body. It's only that this people have more female hormones or gene that they tend to behave and feel like a woman.
God will forgive them because he knew they will be gays before they were born.

if people are gay because there souls have been put in the wrong body then you have to admit the existence of god which then proves that god is a cruel god because he then tell us that we must not have same sex relationships what sort of loving person would be that cruel. it is like giving a child an unwrapped chocolate bar and saying you cannot eat it.

I have to agree with Jelle, its mainly biological and in our genes when we're born. Just like all those XX/XY chromosones theory abt the gender. Except most people surpass their thought of turning gay cos it is mostly un-accepted by the society.

Anyway factors such as education and upbringing also plays a minor part. Read up on psychology books if you interested more abt gene theory and being homosexual or all sorts in between

No, I love being a woman, i love being feminine and i like other women, and i like the realtionship i have as a woman with other women, it would not be the same if i was a man. plus, this is the difference between transexuals and gay people, they feel as though they are trapped in the wrong body. there are so many different gender issues and being gay is just one of them

That's not gay people, that's transexuals. There's a difference.

Your typical gay person doesn't feel the need to become the other gender, they like the gender they are, they're just also sexually attracted to the same gender.

Transexuals are people who feel like they're "a man trapped in a woman's body" or vice-versa

Interesting, but i don't think so as gay men don't necessarily want to be women or vice versa.

Hey Craig, on the theory of choice I suppose that must mean you chose to be straight? And you could always change your mind then and enjoy sleeping with a man?
No, I didn't think so.

Ah, the Gumball Theory of Souls in action.

That wouldn't necessarily make them gay. That sounds like someone who's a spiritual transsexual. This also begs the question of whether souls exist.
