Jelle and Christopher O are correct. Don't get Hitchcock too far back. You will not like them.
The Man Who Knew Too Much- James Stewart
The Sabatour- Robert Cummings
Dial M for Murder
Gas Light-Ingrid Bergman
Midnight Lace- Doris Day
Ten Little Indians (not Hitchcock)

Try some Hitchcock movies... It takes a little getting used to the old-skool style maybe (if you're not into old movies)... but he actually invented the thriller concept. North by Northwest is a great one to start out with. Vertigo... These are both in color btw. Psycho, one of his greatest.

Half Light-Demi Moore
The Others-Nicole Kidman
Flight Plan-Jodie Foster
my favorite was the movie with John Cusack when all the strangers met in a hotel and started dying one-by-one...maybe somebody on here can think of the name....I'm blank.

If you have enjoyed the dubious pleasure of piecing together the plot of The Sixth Sense in retrospect you will be delighted by "Memento" (directed by Christopher Nolan)
