Try some Hitchcock movies... It takes a little getting used to the old-skool style maybe (if you're not into old movies)... but he actually invented the thriller concept. North by Northwest is a great one to start out with. Vertigo... These are both in color btw. Psycho, one of his greatest.

If you have enjoyed the dubious pleasure of piecing together the plot of The Sixth Sense in retrospect you will be delighted by "Memento" (directed by Christopher Nolan)

Mr. Frost. It's about this guy who is the evil encarnate but no one believes and he works his web around a young woman who isthe only one he will talk to. It's a good movie, but hard to find.
