Hi. Um, I just downloaded Vista and I was trying to make a partion or whatever it's called but I couldn't figure out how to do it. When I right-clicked on the hard disk a menu came up but it didn't have the New Simple Volume Option. So I was wondering if anyone knew what could be wrong? Also can I use a drive emulator to install vista?

I have no idea what Vista is, what it does or how it is installed, but there are 2 ways of installing almost all software:
1) Install/uninstall wizard, in the control panel. simply follow the instructions, and click the HELP button if you get in a fix.
2) Install executable, usually in the root directory of the storage device, this is a custom designed installation program that the manufacturer prefers you to use, is more suited to the process of installing the program in question (you can be sure it will be installed correctly), and is usually simpler and faster to use. If there is more than 1 file in the root directory with the affix ".exe", look for and thoroughly read the file with the name "readme" for instructions, as there are often multiple exe's, one for each kind of operating system.

it should make the partition as it is installing windows. You do have to delete the old partition first though
