If my Dad was still alive, I'd probably make him a small shadow-box timecapsule that he could take to work, or put somewhere special. I'd use a prefab shadowbox frame about 1 1/2-2" deep, maybe a 5x7" size. I'd grab an old picture of us fishing, or something from a vacation, or whatever, a good picture of us together (or a good picture of each of us, cropped to fit in the box). I would mat the pictures on cardstock and affix them to the inside of the box with a short hand-written message about the occasion or about how great a Dad he is, then I'd add some trinkets to the box and glue them down to the negative spaces and inside of the frame (if it's a day at the beach, use some shells, sanpaper, and beach glass; if fishing, some lures; if it's dad drunk, some wine corks and bottle caps). I'd make sure everything inside was firmly attached and then seal the box. Then I'd wrap it up and make a simple card to go with it.

I am a Daddy age 41. I have 3 sons: age 14, 10, & 8.

I would definitely want to see my children sing a song, dance, or recite a poem.

It would also be great if we can all have a Prayer Time just before our dinner.

Prayer that is both inbound and outbound.

Inbound means we read something from the Holy Bible.

And outbound meaning we talk to God.

A 2-way Prayer is important.

In other words, a Short Program followed by a Prayer followed by Dinner.

Then Father's Day would be perfect.

A day of good memories to hold him over during times of despair. Parenting is hard. Give him love and respect, joy and laughter!

If you like him, give him a watch, or a card, or something nice...
If you dislike him, give him a life, or a plane ticket to Africa...or somewhere VERY far away...

The decision is up to you but whatever you choose to do make sure you do it with love and from the heart.

It shouldn't matter as long as it comes from the heart.
