1000 + 2000 + 60 - 40 =
( 1000 + 2000 ) + ( 60 - 40 ) =
3000 + 20 =

to solve this: pen and paper may help. you may improvise with some other writing utensil which may leave clear marks for you to see on a sheet of paper. if these ingredients are hard to come across... be obliged to open up the "Calculator" program embedded within your computer. O_O

if you're doing significant figures, then it would 302... unless the answer had a decimal point after it, like <3020.>. If it had a decimal point, then it's 3020. If not, then it's 302. BUT THIS ONLY APPLIES TO SIGNIFICANT FIGURES!

Rounding it off to the nearest thousand, is 3000. Rounding it off to the nearest hundreds, its 3000. Rounding it off to the nearest tens, it's 3020. Rounding it off to the nearest one is 3020. :-D
