i met a female who a few weeks ago was brutallly tortured by her in-laws and husband so much so that she somehow managed to escape from that hell and is hiding at her friend's place whom i know. she is also a mother of a beautiful girl child. i couldnt believe my eyes when she showed me those ugly bruise marks on her and her daughter's body. she told me that her parents are not willing to help her as they think they hav fulfilled their responsibility by marrying her off. also, her in-laws are influential people. she is living with her friend for the past few weeks and fears for her life each day. I gave her my sympathies and a few suggestions and invite some more from ur side as well. this is a serious issue. please take it seriously........help

She needs to get concrete proof. Have her somehow tape what goes on and have her child write a statement or record her statement about how she got those bruises.

I believe a police report must come before a lawsuit so she must go to the police.

Well she should go right to the cops to see what can be done it does not matter how powerful the parents of her husband are abuse is not tolerated and they will be punished by the fullest extent of the law especially when they abused their own grandchild........I say for her to go file a report and go to a home for abused women and see what they can do for her so that she can live on her own and with full protection from other women that have been in the same situation.....As for her daughter they will stay together and they will all be protected and there is counseling for her if she will need it when she grows older......But I say do this and they will be safe and her husband and in laws will be punished for everything they did and hopefully she still has the marks because it is proof that she was brutally attacked and it is good if she has pics of them too so that the poliece do not have to take them......But as long as she does this they will be put away and the mother and child will be safe and will not have to hid from anyone anymore......Good Luck....Please keep me posted.......

PLEASE take pictures of those bruises. Can she go to the police? or talk to a lawyer in a different town? where nobody knows her husband or inlaws! She needs to do whatevers neccessary for the welfare of her child. She shouldnt use any credit cards or a cell phone because those could leave a trace to where she's at. I hope everything turns out for them, I'll keep them in my prayers, hope i helped some Good luck to her

I think she should also get a body check and if she requires proof in court or something then there would be a report of all the bruises and causes of them.

it is over until she is found by these people. she needs to go to a battered women's shelter and get some more help, like a restraining order also a good lawyer while she is at it, if she cannot afford one the homeless/ woman's shelter will help her take the proper steps to help her get her and her child's life back.
