drinking pop will not harm your baby. drinking alcohol, however, will harm your baby. indulge in some soda, but in moderation. too much of any one thing isn't good! congrats on the baby!

It is okay to drink soda during pregnancy. Just try to do it in moderation. I acquired a craving for Cherry Pepsi/Coke while I was pregnant. As long as you don't drink 64oz of soda instead of water, you are fine. Moderation is the key. It WILL NOT harm your child. My daughter is fine, she isn't hyperactive or anything. Some people say that your baby will have withdrawls after the birth from caffeine. Not true.

I heard that drinking caffeine when pregnant can cause you to have a hyper active baby. I don't know why a pepsi every now and then would hurt though. Just don't make it an everyday thing. And if you really need a drink try sprite, diet pepsi, anything diet, 7up., rootbeer....these don't have any caffeine in them.

Soda is fine, even the ones with caffine. Just don't drink more then a few glasses worth a day. If you drink the bottled or canned ones, don't drink more then one or two a day. If you are used to that much caffine in your system, it's best to keep drinking it. If you want to stop drinking it, do it slowly. Drop how much you drink every few days until you are down to almost none. It can cause problems with the pregnancy, and with the baby if you just stop drinking it when you are used to it. It won't hurt your baby at all to drink it and it won't cause a hyperactive child either.

coca cola and Pepsi are poisons .
do not drink them even if you are not pregnant ,
they are also addictive,
drink natural juices only
your baby could be born a coca cola addict like yourself
do not take the risk
it is unfair and irresponsible as far as your Innocent unborn child is concerned..

be strong ,be responsible
don't be a coke junkie
think of the future
i almost died ,ended up in hospital with a lot of tubes going into me .

because i had drank coca cola and Pepsi without restraint 8 liters a day for 3 weeks ,the doctors said i was lucky to survive.
some people claim it is the Illuminati method of lowering the world population

A little bit of caffeine (about one or two cans of soda daily) won't hurt the baby. You can always go for the caffeine free versions, too - the most important thing is that you drink things besides soda, like water, milk, and juice.

Caffeine is fine in moderation during pregnancy. My midwife told me 2 8 oz cups day was safe. Avoid the artificial sweeteners, those are much more cause for concern than caffeine. Remember, though, that soda isn't a very healthy habit to have, and is it one you want your little one picking up?

LOL I still drink soda. I have tried to give up caffiene but I cant I just cut down on how much I drink. I quit smoking, I quit drinking coffee, and No alcohal. So my soda and my iced tea is all i have. Drink a soda if you really want it. In small amounts its not harmful.

Its OK to drink coke, Pepsi, etc, i have had 3 kids and they are all fine. Just stay away from the diet drinks, they have aspartame which can cause problems.

That was my BIGGEST craving when I was prego was pepsi. I craved the fizz. I bought caffeine free. However, they say you can have I caffeine product per day. So go for it. I know I indulged with caffeine here and there and my little monkey is perfectly healthy. Enjoy!!

I say go for it. If you feel like drinking Pepsi while being pregnant, do it as long as there's no alcohol in it. I drank Pepsi with all my pregnancies and they were all born perfect...
