Woodrow Wilson:He gave women the right to vote.He tried to keep America neutral during WW1.He made the 14 points of peace. He won the Noble Peace prize for ending the war.He had the Paris Peace talks. He has suffered a lot in his personal life: a year and a half into his first term his first wife Ellen died.It affected him so bad that he had hoped that he would be assassinated.About a year after Ellen died,he was quietly engaged to a widow named Mrs. Edith Bolling Galt. The press found out about it and They criticized him for remarrying so soon after his wife death.Because of the bad publicity,He offered her to end the engagement, but she said that she would stand by him.During his administration there was the first national income tax:Americans making above 3 thousand a year would have to pay 1% of their income to the government,People who are making over 20 thousand a year, were required to pay and additional amount as high as 6%.Supreme court once had ruled that this was unconstitutional, but ratification of the 6th amendment and charged the constitution to make them legal. Another of one of his early achievements was the Federal Reserve Act of December 1913,which reorganized the nation's banking system.

I would say that it's Franklin D. Roosevelt. He provided much-needed jobs during the Great Depression by establishing programs like the WPA, started Social Security, and led us through most of World War II. Unfortunately, I have to say that one black mark on his record is the internment of Japanese Americans in prison camps.

Ronald Reagan. He brought America out of the financial mess caused by Carter (this is not the first time americans have paid more than $3.00 a gallon for gas.). He improved America's status internationally, negotiated the hostage release, etc.
