I live in albany, ny. I need something to do with my girlfriend that is not boring, usual, and all that stuff. I dont need any sexual replies, as I have that area covered thoroughly, but thanks anyway. Also, what is "the barge," and is it cool? Thanks, if you are really helpful i will offer you ten points for good will.

Well, this really depends on what you mean by boring. Something may be boring to one person but very exciting to the others. Without knowing you or your girlfriend, here are just some of my suggestions. I hope my suggestions help. By the way, since I don't drink, I wouldn't be able to give you advice on which bar is better.

1) Go to Thacher Park and do some hiking on the Indian Ladder trail. The scenary is good and if you can cook, you can do some bar-b-que for you and your girlfriend too.

2) Go to some orchards to pick some fruits. It is strawberry season right now.

3) Go to Saratoga both for the scenary and for a historical tour. After Saratoga was one of the major battlefields in civil war.

4) Go to Lake George and here are a few things you can do there,
i) Take one of those dining cruises.
ii) There are many scenic cruises that you can join. The longest one is 4 hours long and the shortest one is either 1 hour or 45 minutes long. There will be tour guide telling you stories about those places along the way.
iii) Hiking and canoeing.

5) Go to Edison museum in Schenectady, NY

6) Take a historical tour around Schenectady, NY especially the stockade.

7) Do a 13-course meal at Inn at Erlowest in Lake George. This meal will last for 3 hours long and I believe it is about $75 per person. It is a romantic setting and reservation is required (for the 13-course meal option). You can order reguar meal too. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there one year and it was one of the nicest experiences we have ever had. The ingredients were all purchased at a local farm the same day. The chef was professionally trained somewhere in France. The chef even had his own brand of coffee. If you can stay there for a night, it would be even better.

You could go to a bar and come up with some nicknames for the city with your girlfriend. Smallbany is already taken, though.
