Why do I feel sad after sex, even though I enjoyed it physically?

Because you are having it for the wrong reasons, simply put, you may not be as ready as you pretend to be even though you enjoy it physically.

Perhaps you are allowing yourself to be persuading into having sex so you are just doing it for the sake of doing it but it lack the emotional or psychological rewards.

Sometimes the body and they psyche are not always in sync. Your body may crave the touch but your mind is simply not ready for it so it becomes emotionally and psychologically taxing. In short, you are disconnected.

im not dissing the other answers but it may not be the partner but the act itself getting you down are you sad or do you cry
sometimes i cry but its not sadness more a vent of i guess passion and emotion thats built up (yes i know freaky but i cant control it and its not everytime usualy actualy after a longer session or perticularly good occasion).

if you are sad then you need to look into yourself as to whats wrong maybe it stems from when you were a kid and everyone saying sex is bad but you know yourself that now you decide whats right for you . try to be in a place where your comfortable ie not in a house with other people etc save a bit of guilt there and good luck

You don't have a strong emotional connection. I can think of a few factors why you don't have the connection; you are not married to him, he is married to someone else, or you are cheating on your husband, or he is abusive......

It doesn't really matter why, but it is obvious that you should not be with this man. Dump him and be very patient until you meet the right man.
