I've had my period for about 2 years, and sometimes it comes a week late, could it just be that it's still irregular?

Don't worry, that is normal when you are a teen. Periods can be very late, not come and skip a month, it's just your body adjusting to the hormonal changes.

Stress, a change in diet, lack of sleep, all these can affect your body and that affects your period too.

When was the last time you went in for a physical? If it's been a year, maybe schedule an appt. and discuss it with your doctor. Otherwise, I am sure you will find that it will come soon enough.

I hope you are not sexually active. If you are, you need to take a pregnancy test.

If you are not sexually active, it's probably fine. They can be irregular. If you still don't have a period in a couple of weeks, see a doctor. There are some medical conditions that can cause that. You will be just fine; don't worry.

Don't panic so quickly because I'm a female and my period comes late and it's also very irregular. If you're scared tell your parents and have them take you to an OBGYN because not having a period can mess your insides up.

Yes it could be irregular my cousin had her period once, then it didnt come back until 3 months later. When you first get your period its irregular. You should just wait until you get it or consult a doctor.

this used to happen to me and if you know u are not pregnant you should go to a doctor's because there is a condition called PCOS that shows the signs in the teens years and all you need is blood work to see if that's it! RESEARCH THIS and see if you have any of the other signs--

Lots of people have irregular periods, especially when they're starting puberty. Wait until you're sexually active, that's when you really get stressed when you don't see your period.
