and then their goal keeper becomes injured, can and will a field player take the goalie's place? Is a field player previously appointed by the team manager to potentially take a goalie's place if necessary?

Yes, a player can take the GK place and wear his shirt (taking the GK place is optional and a team can play even without... but it does not make sense for any team).
The player is not "officially" appointed, but within the team there are always few players that have GK "attitudes". Yet, most of the times, in that situation, a forward is chosen by the coach to take the GK place.

huh. It happened for us once. in this situation the goalkeeper comes out of the game and one of the players( that he's not a goalkeeper) will wear gloves and plays as goalkeeper. actually they play by 10 men.

I believe that they can, but of course must play a man down.
