The best thing you have to do first is, first choose(by choose I mean, universities that are affordable to your budget) several universities and then see what are the requirements they are asking(normally those are TOEFL {Test Of English as a Foreign Language}SAT{Scholastic Assessment Test} scores. So do the test and get the score they wanted. Then prepare your financial statements as they wanted. And other things if there are. Once you've selected by the Uni, they will giude you with the procedures.
Another thing you can do is, find a local university in (your country) that has affliations with a US Uni. Those Uni's have transfer program i.e you can do like 2 years there and do the rest in US. (If you could find a local UNI, that's the most cost effective.)Or a Local UNI that gives American degrees. Then you can apply to a US UNI wih your local UNI's transcript and you can transfer your credits.
Good luck with everything

You would need to contact the individual Universities. I would visit the US Embassy in your country if you have one accessible to you. That would be a great place to start. Decide where you want to go. See the link below for information on travel and visas. Good luck!

First of all, you have to have a student visa in order to go to school in the US. You might try applying at the US counsolet office in your country. Then you can apply to the university of your choice.

You would need to contact the university's international education department and then they can help guide you through the process. You'll need a passport as well. Good luck!
