Hypnotism is mind control by another person.It is not a method to improve memory.But now a days lot of classes are being conducted in Self hypnosis and auto suggestion to tmprove personality and memory.There is scientific evidence regarding wow much they are effective.
Another theory is that we dont use bothsides of brain.we use only one.They suggest that if we learn to use bothsides,our memory can be doubled.There are so many courses advertised to learn the method..But how far they are true is not known.

For some people it really works. I would suggest trying to work on improving ones memory by small steps. Memory can be learned but not forced. It is an exercise that when practised will improve. Hypnotism is extreme and I would hope ones last resort. Good luck!
