How about pruning? When should that be done?
Cause these babies are all over and look a little wild! :)

Great Question!

I believe that they kind of take care of themselves.

As a child, in the south, I used to go out and pick off the backs to the little flowers and suck the sweet honey out.

mmm.

Definitely brings back memories. I don't think it's unhealthy you should give it a try. I mean i'm still alive and kickin' many a year later.

Best of Luck!

honeysuckles are suppose to look wild!!! proper care ....water, usee a genral all perp. fertizer trim back early spring as new grow occures or late fall after growth has stopped... make sure you taste them every now and then...it reminds me of childhood and my 3 year old already can spot them and asks for a taste every time!!!

Honeysuckle sustains its self well without help, however when it is dry out you should water it daily. Also make sure it gets plenty of sunshine.
