World view: most have nada, a few have everything and they are keeping it. Resources tend to aglomerate where there are other resources already. Basically means, if you have money, you will attract money more efficiently than those without. This works on an individual level as well as national level. Some economics theory supports this idea on the national level, example the Stolper Samuelson Theorem. Duncan Watts, mathematician examines how this works with individuals in his book "Six Degrees" as well where the effects of wealth networks yields the wealthy members of the networks monetary benefits.

It's more than mere hard work. Even with hard work, a person is barely assured any distance from "Nada" when looking at everyone's situation in the world.

I happen to be lucky to live and be from the USA, so enjoy a significant distance from "nada" with relatively little effort compared to other folks in the world, despite me not being from a wealthy or even middle class family.

Good luck to you..

Because some people are lazy and never finished school. There's no excuse. There is plenty of financial aid and if that's not the problem then you're just unmotivated. People have lots of $ because they work for what they wanted and it paid off in the end. Some just get lucky and inherit it. That's life!
