Hey everyone, hope all is well...

I have some concerns over my recent episodes of light spotting. I am in my second trimester (21 weeks) and every appointment and ultrasound has shown a healthy baby boy with a good heart rate.
However, I have had a few episodes of spotting in the last month and a half. Each were very light and either pinkish or light brown, and short lived. My midwife didn't seemed to be too concerned, and after the first episode the pelvic exam showed that everything was fine. They thought it could be related to sex or possibly a mystery.
This morning I had another very quick episode (VERY light, lasted about 10 minutes). It is frustrating for me, because I have abstained from sex but had just fooled around with my fiance beforehand. (It was his birthday! ) There was no penetration, though.
In any case, these episodes of spotting have me very stressed out. Although I have read up quite a bit on the cervix and it's vascular tendancies during pregnancy, I was mainly looking for some support from any other women who experienced mystery spotting like this in their second trimester. It would be great to know that I'm not alone!
Thanks for your thoughts!

I'm sorry, I did not have that but when was your last ultrasound? The placenta may have grown a little bit over your cervix. I would insist to your midwife that you get another one just to make sure. Sometimes the placenta isn't done growing before the ultrasound and it looks to be fine. Just get the position checked out again. It's called marginal placenta previa. That's my advice. Good luck!
