Coastal Waters off of North America would be good too.

thats a really open ended question........first, are you talking power or sail? overnight trips? how much experience do you have?.....answer that and I can give you more specific answers; but in general, 30-35 foot power or sail sia decent amnagable size to take out of sight of land DEPENDING ON YOUR EXPERIENCE!!!!
