Firstly,SPYWARE IS NOT A VIRUS!!!Regarding information about various spywares, it actually does help if you google them then the information in the antivirus websites show up.Many of the spywares carry trojans and antivirus website like Mcafee,F-Secure etc carry information about the effects of these trojans. There has to be a very standard law banning all spywares under a centralised authority to have the reporting of spyware acceptable. All spywares are not illegal. For more information regarding this ,check out the link below. How do you mean that msn is not working? Are you unable to log it on as the homepage or is it msn mesenger? In the former case, you might try making it the homepage once more via internet options or any anti-spyware can detect the spyware and remove it if the spyware repeatedly changes your homepage to its chosen one.

If you know how to do it, do a system restore and restore your computer to a date a few weeks earlier than when you were affected by the viruses. This is a temporary fix. Next, if you have Yahoo and the AT&T Yahoo Anti-spy program on your toolbar, click on that and on Anti-Spy Community. You will get a discussion group that deals with fixing problems of this kind. Look for info, or post a question, there. You should find something that will help you.

Try this site. I use Antivir as my antivirus program and I find they're fairly up-to-date and show some causes and solutions to most problems.
I don't know about reporting to antivir Ithink you might need it installed.
