no, just make sure its a MasterCard or visa. American express is good also. i always use my cards overseas because i get a better exchange rate. You may have problems with discover and dinners club.

I was told by some teachers that when going to Europe you can use an american credit cadr but it has to be a debit card and it would be best for it to be a visa card.

Of course you can if they are master or Visa, they are international!!!
I went to Europe 4 times and always take my credit cards, i have Visa and Master.

You should not have a problem what so ever.Mastercard and Visa are widely accepted, American Express is accepted in the majority of places.

Yes, most European abnks offer credit cards also, which can be used from both sides of the Atlantic!

Your best bet is to use your ATM for cash in local currency but be sure to take out enough the 1st and only withdrawal time as you get fees for every ATM use.

theres ATM all over if the dont accept that usually they do you coul take out money, i dont recomend traveling with lots of cash
