If they were to go through the right channels (no pun intended), sure. I highly doubt any rock stars have the intellectual fortitude to sit on any judicial bench much less the Supreme Court. TV anchors can make a lot more money babbling about things on TV than in the courts.

They are not required to be a judge in order to be nominated to sit on the Supreme Court, as a recent nomination the the Court proved.
It is going a long way to say that retired TV anchormen and rock stars are qualified, however.
A Supreme Court judge needs to know a great deal of US law. Not only will he have to be aware of it in order to make correct decisions, but his decisions will set precedences and can be sited in future cases throughout the country - pretty much forever.
It is not a requirement to have been a lawyer in order to be on the legislature (i.e., Congress or Senate) before either.
Many public servants in those bodies were lawyers as well. Some Presidents, such as Bill Clinton and Abraham Lincoln, were lawyers as well.
