Amp up on Vitamin C and Zinc. Drink a glass of hot green tea with Echinacea and Honey in the morning.

Eat only fruits and vegatables during the day plus avoid mucous creating foods such as milk, bread and cheese. Fast from eating meat as your digestive system needs to be ridding itself of toxins and meat will slow down the process. Avoid refined sugar in sugary drinks.

Add a tablespoon of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and one or two drops of wild oregeno oil to a glass of apple juice, pomogranete juice or grape juice three times a day. Add cayenne if you have mucous in your chest, eyes, ears, nose or throat. Drink six glasses of distilled water each day. Drink three glasses of clean water with 1/4 tablespoon of unrefined sea salt.

Drink a glass of hot Green tea with Echinacea and Honey in the evening with Camomile and take a hot bath before you go to bed. Sit in a bathtub with hot water. Add a cup of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon cayenne. Sweat out the toxins and go to sleep.

All sickness comes from the gut. By alkalizing your body and cleansing you will not only cure your cold but also give your body, gut, and skin a wonderful treat.

My favorite remedy is cayenne pepper. 1/4 tsp with water or at meal time.

If you can't handle that, try 10 cloves of lightly steamed garlic with a meal. Steaming the garlic will take the the bite out of it, and you will still get the antibiotic effect of the garlic.

I can also recommend hot moist pack on your chest. You will need help with this. Place the hot pack on the chest for 3-5 minutes, then rub well with ice water for 30-60 seconds, and repeat 6-8 times. This will ease the chest congestion by getting the blood to circulate in that area better.

First, abstain from all wheat and dairy products. The mucous-forming, immunosuppresive effects of these two non-foods
are devastating.

Second, make a ginger/garlic/lemon tea, with fresh preferrably organic ingredients. Slice up a clove, a good size piece of ginger, and a tablespoon of lemon, and make several servings of warm tea.

If you have access to a health food store buy licorice (anti-viral, expectorant, soothing), Manuka honey (antibacterial and a great tonic), and collodial silver (a natural antimicrobial, without side effects), though make sure the collodial silver is no more than 10 parts per million.

Take vitamin C, but not ascorbic acid (a synthetic analogue), from whole food sources, e.g. Mega Food's Complex C, Garden of Life's Living C, or Pure Planet's Amla C.

Rest as much as you can, so your body can fight the infection on its own.
Drink lots of fluids (gatorade has all the essential electrolytes that you need. Warm it and drink. Avoid coffee, milk, alcohol. Tea and coffee are diuretics. Milk makes congestion worse.
Eat simple foods -- nothing too hard to digest. Avoid fats.
Although tea is a diuretic -- herbal teas help a lot. Drink tea with ginger in it.
Vitamin C is very important. You should have lots of it. If necessary, get vit c tablet and eat.
Include fresh garlic, cayenne pepper, onions and watercress in the diet in order to prevent and treat cold symptoms.
Honey, hot water and lemon toddy -- best for cough symptoms.
Take a steamy shower.
Use steam inhaler with vicks vaporub. Use vicks vaporub on your chest when you sleep. Use tube inhaler to ease breathing.
Try to wash regularly after blowing your nose, so you don't reinfect yourself. Regularly wash your nose in the sink and keep it clean.

Stop taking sugar in all forms. You must use jaggery in stead. Take 50g jaggery before sleep and do not drink water. Brush your teeth and go to sleep. Take 5 black pepper whole, 2 cloves, a small piece of cinnamon stick and ginger, 7 basil leaves, a small piece of other spices available at home and boil them together in 200 ml water. After it get properly boiled, drink hot like soup three times a day. This will help you to a very great extent and you will save lots of money on medicines.

For your cough and congestion I can tell you that ear candling or coning will clear that up quickly. Most people say they used one or two and got no relief. I used one right after the other, (8 in my case) in each ear until it cleared. Now I only have to use one or two per ear whenever the symptoms return, about once a month for my cough from sinus drainage. I used them last year when I had a cold and it cleared right up.

Hi sweet,

You have an excessive "kafa" my dear . This is part of the ancient Indian medicine called ayur veda.

Have foods containing ginger, also have hot liquids like soups etc.
Kafa is concerned with dryness and coldness.

Keep away from coffee(which is cold and dry intrinsicly ) and spices like pepper .

Hope you will get better

Drink lots of liquids! Warm OJ, hot tea with honey and lemon, try a nice steam bath, sleep a lot and dress warmly when you sleep, even if it is hot. Your body will be able to combat your illness if you're well rested =)

The best thing to do is ask your physician or you can call any nurse at the hospital, but your not going to get any answers, unless you get checked.
