My best friend and I weren't at the best of terms a while back. She ditched me and blew me off for her other friend. Now she wants things to be the way they use to be. Being best friends and everything. Should I let my guard down and start being her friend again?

I vote, forgive AND forget. Why else would you bother calling her your BEST friend rather than just a friend? Take a chance, a risk. I think she's worth it. We all make mistakes.

I have (or should a say had) a friend that was the same way...she hung out with some new people but when they weren't available or around she would come back to me. Basically, she what I call a fairweather friend; she comes to you as a backup. The best thing I can tell you to do is still talk to her and hang out with her, but don't get to close to her right away...or she might do it to you again. Let her know that you don't want to be treated that way and you're better than that...and if she doesn't understand or does it again, well you know what kind of friend she truly is...best of luck to you.

Certainly. Your friendship will grow and be more secure in the future. You are a lucky person - or should I say, you are both lucky people. Best friends are a rare breed and you should always be ready to forgive and find an excuse for the others words or actions. Make it a condition of the reconciliation that in future when you have a disagreement, you should agree to disagree and shake hands on the matter you are arguing about. Don't lose your best friend - you may never get another...........

well forgive an forget yea and give her another chance, but dont let ur guard down, never let ur guard down with anyone, cos 2 be honest with u there aint much true friends, ull be lucky 2 have 1 in ur whole lifetime, always study people in what they say an do in situations an around other people, ino u might think this sounds really paranoid but jus be careful with people, be friends again but jus stay on point.

When you hold onto a resentment it only harms you because the other person is not losing sleep over it. You have elected to allow someone to live in your head rent free. Friends can be thoughtless at times but it's usually not a serious grudge anyway. Just always watch your back but don't prejudge.

Always forgive and give her another chance. If

you don't, you will spend endless hours worrying

about it. What a waste of time that would be.

If she dumps you a second time, let her go and

do her own thing and completely forget about

her because she's not really "a Friend" and not

worth wasting your time thinking abou her!

you can forgive and forget, but it'll take som time - alot or alittle - to regain your trust. In the end she will if she cares for you. If not, she'll ditch you again. Can you go for that? Yeah, you should give her another chance. And; you can talk about what happened cant you?

You can always forgive and move on if you still want the friendship but I don’t believe people can ever truly forget. Move on if you want and don’t carry a grudge. If she is a good friend than it might not be something you want to lose.

yes...things like this will always happen, it's part of having a true friendship. Give her a second chance, forgive and forget. If she does it again though, then you should forget about her!

no don't because if she blew you off once then you know that she could do it agian. but i would be friends but not best friends.
best friends dont ditch one another ever. i personaly think that you need to find a new best friend because you don't need a friend that does that.
