The people who told me they chose to be gay are the gay people. And I don't care about spelling errors!

It is a sin why did you think God made a man and a woman and not a man and a man. And woman can only make babies with a man not with the same gender.

God made gay people for a purpose not to be gay! And since it is a sin I can't complain since I am not a homosexual and never will be! I like girls way to much to give up that.

And everybody loves chris I wouldn't be talking about who's stupid. Look in the mirror what do you see a gay person. That's exactly what you see and I'm pretty sure your happy with that no matter what.

Ask Chistians they have the right answer again and again being gay is a sin. Read the Holy Bible. And if everybody was straight teh world wouldn't be over populated. People would be virgins or be ugly. And the following are sins, killing, stealing, lying, being gay, or worshiping other fake gods. Now God loves everybody but he just isn't pleased with homosexuality for the last time! Now answer this question right for once.

They just don't care as long as they are happy with the same gender it's really disgusting. Gay people usually see if they gay, it is hard to explain and I don't want to explain it to anyone. Since I worship God and always. There should be a law saying there shouldn't be gay pride I don't get what it does except seeing gay people in public marching. I liked that George W. Bush is doing a good job with this gay marriage, when a parent explains what marriage is they say a man and a woman same thing with the 3 letter word. Yeah everybody sins but they don't do that stuff!
Also it is a sin read the Holy Bible and you will figure it out sooner or later.

Ok ok enough with the quotations! Jeez! Doesn't anybody read the bible? The bible is a translation of God's word by scribes and prophets. Ever hear of Sodom and Gomorrah? Why don't you look up Romans 1:32, also Leviticus 18:22, Genesis 19, Romans 1:18-32, I Corinthians 6:9-11, I Timothy 1:10, and Jude 7. Here is one quote, however:
"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Leviticus 20:13.
Being gay is a choice. it is a sexual fetish that can involve roleplay and simulated relationships. Anybody that says they were born gay is using a cop-out. There are alot of sins that aren't specified that fall under the 10 commandments. Do U think that a child molestor isn't sinning because the bible didn't say that touching children against their will was a sin? Gays think that they are "slipping through the cracks" with legality but God's law can't be debated like human laws. Grow the **** up, morons...

First of all, who say it was a sin, the Bible??? Some screwed up therapist who makes a living doing conversion therapy?? Who wrote the Bible All straight MEN? Being Gay isn't a sin, only if you feel it is ,like having sex before marriage, marrying outside your religion or race. Homosexuality has been around a very long time, No One can tell you its wrong. Will people stop doing these things hell no!!! So you are what your are, Accept it, embrace it, and most important life is so short, live it as you were meant too

The concept of "gay being a sin" is a religious one, and religion is man made.
If God appeared and told me certain things, being human would mean I would hear it in my own way (or I'd hear what I want to hear). When I report it to other people, they would interpret what I said in their own way. Before long, the version of God's speech will be totally different to what God originally said.
Assuming God created everything, I would feel that God loves everyone irrespective of their orientation. If God didn't want people to be gay, then he wouldn't have made them gay - in the same way as he didn't give humans telepathy, telekinesis, or a fourth spatial dimension which could be used in everyday life.
Being gay/bi isn't something someone chooses - after all, why would one choose an orientation which gives them so much difficulty? There is a mountain of evidence suggesting that being gay is something people are born with. I personally feel its a mixture between psychology and biology.
In addition, religious groups who try to convert homosexuals into heterosexuals have the highest failure rate.

I believe homosexuality is an illness. It is either an emotional/psychological condition caused by trauma, abuse (emotional, physical, or sexual), or issues with either parent... or I think it can be a physical condition caused by a hormonal problem. I believe all illnesses, be they physical or psychological originated from the fall of man (the original sin in the garden of Eden). God did not make people gay. Because we live in a sinful world, unfortunately many, many children are harmed and damaged and raised by parents that have no business being parents. The only hope we have is turning to Jesus for healing and forgiveness and a new life.

Surely "everybody loves chris" u have heard of friendship before or maybe not because u don't have friends. Yeah being gay is a sin and gay people don't give a care. As long as their happy with their same gender. Acting like the diffrent gender but the gender their suppose to like. So "everybody loves chris" have a fun time being gay. As long as it doesn't affect me going to Heaven in anyway I'm cool with what u do because that's not my buisness and I pray that it won't be.

"God made gay people for the purpose not to be gay"??
That sentence doesn't even make sense. I'm not even going to bother dealing with it, because it defies logic.
You cannot help who you fall in love with. Simple as that. And I refuse to believe that a truly loving God would make something beyond an individual's control--such as homosexuality--a sin. That's like saying having a certain skin color is a sin. It's ridiculous.
Homosexuality is NOT a choice. It is NOT wrong. It is NOT something to be ashamed of. It is NOT a sin.
EDIT: Also, I find it hilarious that chief_lickem_squaw tells us all to "grow up," then goes and uses godhatesfags.com as one of his sources. If that isn't irony, I don't know what is.

You have your beliefs - and you're entitled to them. Please don't ask a question if you don't want to read the answers that disagree with those beliefs. You'll only be disappointed.
The Roman Catholic Church does not say that being gay is a sin, rather it qualifies it by saying that acting on homosexual desire is the sin.
It doesn't say that the predicament of homosexuality is man-made, either. It sees it as one of the crosses that must be borne by those who are "affected" by it.
No one knows why homosexuality exists - it does though - and no amount of repression or proselytising is going to stop it.
The LGB community has been oppressed, by both sacred and secular dogma, for centuries. Are you going to round up this minority and throw them to the lions - as the Romans did to the Early Christians?

A great deal depends on your formation. Adolescent experimentation is more to do with self discovery than settling into a pattern for life. Much sexual pleasure is common to males as well as females. Urges, hungers and perceived needs are often more about fashion than truth.
Many of the most successful athletes and soldiers throughout history, having been trained almost exclusively among men, find tremendous rapport with them.
Others turn from women because of religious taboos or fear. Women have similar influences.
Being gay is not of itself a sin. Where people fall into error is in the sexual expression of same sex sexuality. We are designed to mate and raise our children together. Mother, Father and their Children.
Sex is such a powerful drive in our lives that learning how to channel that energy is a vital part of our formation. Denying sexuality is foolish. Love between same-sex couples happens. The simulacrum of such a specialised relationship is where people fall into error. Where the sin lies, is in trying to justify it as similar to a heterosexual relationship.
All the words in the world will never create a marriage out of a same-sex relationship. "Marriage" is exclusively the territory of the coupled male and female producing children and a culture of nurture. For homosexuals there are alliances, choices, legalities of partnership but not parenthood. Perhaps wilful self-deception is where the sin lies.

Well if we're going by what is classed as a sin (we could be here for sometime) being born into this world means???... Drum-roll please....you were born into sin... check your bible or better yet go have a chat with a priest. So, if we're asking that question we must surely ask, why do people live in the way they do? Why do they lie? Why do they Cheat?? Blah Blah Blah.. It's a sin isn't it?
God didn't give me a schematic to life, i dunno if he gave you one, so one goes with what they know. As long as you exercise a bit of tolerance, compassion and understanding you'll be closer to achieving this sin free existence and be "more in his image" i would imagine. However, lets not get too deep into it and start rattling our rosaries here. Why not just appreciate the diversity and try and learn from each other..

Well that's supposedly in the bible, I don't have a bible at hand to check, but if people don't believe in God etc. then there's no such thing as sin and so being gay can't be a sin if sin doesn't exist, see.
Here's my theory, that I've just thought up, perhaps their souls are female but were put into a male body and vice versa.
