I think that your point of view is very narrow and perhaps a generalization based upon your own experience.
It is wrong. The emotion of love can and often is modified into something else by thought (as in jealousy). If it was only a chemical reaction, then it would be easy to modify in everyone and experience shows that this is not true.
Selfishness can prevent love. Love of self can over rule love of another, but these are twisted events are have nothing to do with pure unconditional love.
Picking a best answer which say that Yes you are right and this concept is brilliant will not change reality.

u view love in this particular sense tats bcoz u never have gone through this beautiful feeling...I SEE LOVE AS CONSTANT ACTION THAT U JUST CANT CONTROL

do you think people are mad to post questions such as wat can one do to eliminate past memories or how do i carry fwd my life without the one who means the world to me......if love had been a chemical reaction which one can control and destroy then you must be seeing ur loved ones as a chemical reactor ...huh?....it might be that u r duped by someone u loved atmost n to remove this frustration u have given a completely divergent meaning to love.....

well,if that chemical reaction makes you fell love,then the chemical is controling YOU instead of you controling it.

My mothers pastor used to say " love is not an emotion it's a decision" but I can honestly say, I think love is a gift from God. Not something you can control.
