Engineers are always rated as intellectually high class of professionals in the society.I also underwent through the same confusion last year but soon I realised that if I had managed to get distinction in my class 12 boards in just a month of serious study then engineering is no great stuff!Doing engineering is fun and play.School was rather VERY TOUGH!Do you know why companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS hire engineers in such large numbers?Its not because of their qualification.Their perspective is that engineering students are the perfect the raw material that they can tap!It doesn't matter whether the student is a computer science majors or mechanical or civil.What they want is only the raw material.They know the standard of studies in the private engineering colleges and presume that the student has not mastery over his core subjects.But they know that he/she is the one who can be trained to meet the demands of their company.That is why they hire engineers instead of plain graduates!So don't think much and choose engineering as your career IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT APTITUDE AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS SCIENCE AND MATHS!

It mainly depends on your interest. The eco. hons. is a tough course but it is among one of the respected course of delhi university and there are many options available after doing this. I know all this because i am doing eco. hons. In my opinion eco. hons. is better than engineering from manipal.

well eco honours from st. stephens definitely sounds better but engeeneering isnt bad either..coz dat has better scope u c..4 yrs nd u r ready to take a plunge into da real world whereas there in eco honours i guess u'll have to do sth else as well..well u shuld've written wat u wanna become..n wats ur ambitiob..dat wuld've certainly helped me answerin
