No you absolutely can not get a positive test result because you are ovulating. Can you imagine the amount of people out there who would think they are pregnant???
Pregnancy sets off a specific hormone in your body that is not duplicated by any other thing.
NOW first of all pregnancy tests are not 100% accurate. However it is more common to have a false negative than it is to have a false positive. Usually false negatives occur when you have not built up enough of the pregnancy hormone to detect on the test.
False Positives on the other hand have to be a faulty test that for some reason show a second line when the hormone is not detected.

A couple of things could be happening here. First of all if you bought both tests together (like a two in one package) it is possible that they are both faulty.
Also your doctor never should have even looked at the ones you took yesterday. After the time limit (usually ten minutes) the tests are no longer valid. The readings can sometimes show something different. After the time period it is possible that one or both lines disappear or even that a second line will appear. After the time this does not mean you are pregnant it just means that reactors are being set off in the test.

Believe it or not some hpt's are more sensitive then the ones used by some doctors. So it is possible his test just did not read that you are pregnant. Or his test could have been faulty.
Also if you drank a lot of water before you took the test at the doctor then your urine could have been diluted and the hormone wouldnt have been read. Especially known to happen early in a pregnancy.

Chances are since you got two positive results you are pregnant. I would wait a week and go back to the doctor and retest if you do not start your cycle.

Pregnancy test aren't 100% accurate. You could have gotten bad ones. Or maybe a hormone is acting up or something.
