In general terms, neither. It was a lunatic fringe. Their nationality or claimed religious beliefs are not an issue as they do not represent the mainstream views of any group.

It was a joint effort between the wo with a third party which shall remain nameless. I know this isn't something anyone want to hear. And this is sometthing anyone has the power to chack up on. America from a political stance will not under any circumstances give in to terrorists. It's not in it's new found nature. If and whenever there is a threat of any kind the standard procedure is to check all sources of the threat. Afterwards if it is declared that it is a positve threat then it is needed to have those that are in charge of the company to take a vacation. In short those that are absolutely needed to run the company. It is not in America's bet interest we shut down everything we have for an unlisted amount of time. And it can not be made public knowledge that there is an attack out of fear of panic. If the American people shut down then America will become weak. America can not, should not, and will not ever appear weak to anyone for any reason. If a threat is made and nothing happens, then America lost millions and billions of dollars and also flinched to the enemy showing it's weakness. Upon showing weakness it is possible to lose more economic balance. It is fair to say people are just merely numbers in the end, and can be replaced. But, the economy can be wrecked and take years even decades to repair. Not to get too far off the point. America was warned about the attack on 9/11 but, it was not considered serious. Upon knowledge of the planes take over, it was deemed neccessary to evacuate the top stock holders, ceos, and presidents as standard prcedure. It was the hope that the planes would miss the buildings since it would take years of training for the accuracy. But, sadly America was wrong.

The fact that WTC were all 3 controlled demolitions is about as scientific fact as you can get, what the motivations were and who pulled off the biggest magic show in American history will probably be a debate for a long time.

Add to this the fact that they still haven't released any video of what made that small hole in the Pentagon, even after saying they did (and cutting out 4 frames where you see whatever it was). C'mon, there was 84 video tapes confiscated that day...release just two with the goods on it and I'll shut up.

To his credit, I bet he knows a hell of a lot more than he's saying, though. But everything he said in "F9/11" was already old news to those who actually paid attention.
Okay...9/11 was orchestrated by the American military/industrial complex: people like George HW Bush (the former president and director of CIA), Dick Cheney (former CEO of Halliburton; the world's biggest defense contractor) and Paul Wolfowitz (former deputy secretary of defense; now head of the World Bank...what a reward!) These are the people who are REALLY running the show in the U.S. through their mouthpiece/puppet George W Bush. Still with me? 'Kay. Though the U.S. planned the attacks, they needed help carrying them out. This is where Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda, all of whom are old school CIA agents dating back to the Afghan-Soviet war, came in. Some unknown representatives of the military/industrial complex sat down with OBL and said, "Look- we want this, this and this to happen. We need your operational expertise to help make it happen. Play ball and name your price; the States will pull out of Saudi Arabia, anything you want." Whatever deal they made sounded good to Osama (who was a businessman long before he was a freedom fighter or terrorist) so he went along with it, probably having no idea that he was being used as a scapegoat. So...the attacks took place (possibly just the way we were told; maybe not- after all, it's EASY to arbitrarily find nineteen Middle Eastern faces and names and say, "These guys did it!"; although in my opinion the 'highjackers' were themselves CIA agents, possibly mind controlled...Zacharias Moussoui exhibits all the classic symptoms of mind control; it is easy to confuse mind control with paranoid schizophrenia) and I bet Osama Bin Laden was just as surprised as anybody else to get the blame for it.
So, the short answer to the question would be, "Americans were behind it, but they needed Arabs to help carry it out in order to maintain plausible deniability."

If by "being proven more each day" you mean "absolutely no proof has ever been presented of such a disgusting, sad and ridiculous claim" then I know where you're coming from.

Seriously, I know it makes you feel better to think there is some vast conspiracy (because, if there is, you couldn't have hoped to combat it) but we were attacked by a very small group of people with very little funding and almost no training. You'll just have to accept that, no matter how powerless it makes you feel.

PUTRAJAYA: During the Sept 11, 2001 aerial attacks on New York’s Twin Towers, former janitor William Rodriguez helped to rescue 40 victims and he, eventually, had to also be pulled out from the rubble.

He went on to become a decorated hero and was feted by both the White House and Congress. When the government set up a commission to look into the tragedy, he gave his account

“But when the report came out, none of my testimony appeared,” said a disappointed Rodriguez, who is now with a team that is campaigning worldwide to force the US authorities to reopen investigations into the tragedy.

He said only 27 of the 168 questions put to the commission by victims and affected families had been answered.

Rodriguez, who was in charge of three stairwells in the North Tower, and team members of the Reopen 9/11 Organisation met former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the Perdana Leadership Foundation here yesterday.

“We came here because we wanted to give Dr Mahathir our version about what happened and would like his assistance in our work. He told us he would consider it,” Rodriguez said, adding that Malaysia was their first stop in a Muslim country.

“I lost 200 of my friends in the tragedy, 36 of whom were Muslims. I believe the US government had used the tragedy to demonise Islam and Muslims, and used it as the reason for the international war against terrorism.”

Recapping the tragic events, he said he was in the North Tower when he heard explosions from the basement at 8.45am that day, even before the first plane rammed into the building.

“My first thought was that the generator had blown out in Basement Two of the tower. When I ran down there, I met a Honduran man who had worked in that basement and whose skin had been badly burnt in the explosion.

“Then, there was another explosion which shook the tower. People told me later that an airplane had crashed into the building’s upper floors,” he said.

Rodriguez said he also heard explosions from below the 44th floor as he, together with a few firemen and policemen, raced around trying to save people before the building collapsed.
