since recently my boyfriend broke up with me cause I dont have a job after 4 yrs & i met him when he didn't have one for 2 years and I supported him on my lousy 12.00 an hr job. To add insult to injury my mother will not let me eat.. she'd rather I starve. she rations my food and complains if i open the refrigerator to get a bite to eat. how cruel are both of them? or am i to blame for going through hard times? i have been looking 4 a job hard and no luck thus far. but more importantly i'm starting to question if my x boyfriend ever really loved me and my mother? are they both shallow, selfish, materialistic, bastards? what mom would ration their kids food? she used 2 make me starve growing up this way. hint: my dad met my mom in the korean war whe he was a soldier brought over her whole family to the U.S. to live a better life. do you think she is just a golddigger using my dad for citizenship? whe my boyfriend broke up with me i went crying 2 my mom asnd i asked her if she loved me

I do not believe for one minute that you are SEARCHING HARD for a job- I know this is not what you are wanting to hear, but 12.00/hour is decent money in most areas, if its not in your area then move elsewhere. YOU have been unemployed for 9months... I bet you werent looking the 6 months you had money coming in from unemployment. You need to take charge of your life and quit sorting thru jobs like you have too much to offer mcdonalds or you are too good to work at wal-mart. Its a place to start at and a way to make money until you can find the RIGHT job. As for Your mother , She probably thinks she is helping you not hurting you. Your boyfriend and mom are not CRUEL people- people get dumped everyday, for multiple reasons.. Stop crying about it and move on!!! You can blame me if it will help but fact is- someone needs to give you a reality check and maybe thats what they were doing for you! EVERYTHING in life happens for a reason...

Sounds like you are in a really tough situation. I don't think your mom is actually trying to make you starve. You mentioned that your mom was from Korea. Well, it is natural for Korean's to ration out their food to make it last. Your mom actually thinks she is saving her children by showing you how rough it is in the world without a job. Have you ever noticed people when they shop? Most people will buy $100's worth of groceries but their adrenaline is pumping so they rush to the kitchen to get anything they can and then the following week they only have $25.00 to get groceries and there is nothing else to eat because it was eaten up the week before. So then you have to figure out what can be bought for food with only $25.00...say perhaps rice.
As for the boyfriend, that is another story all in itself.
Neither situation is your fault. It is hard these days to get a job.
The president keeps bringing those illegal b@*tards over here to take away americans jobs.

Unemployment is provided so you can have funds to look for another job. You don't mention what state you reside or the type of your previous work.

My suggestion: go to a Temporary Employment Agency and fill out a resume with them. Check your local newspaper for employment opportunities. Try to get hired through a temporary agency working for them, or through them for a placement.
There are also government programs such as ROP, and Job Corp that will train you and help you get work.

You need to work, get your own place and become independent.

Do not waste your energy on whether a guy cares for you, or any other issues.Your parents care for you, but also want to see you productive.

tough love honey, that's what you are getting, 6 months and no job. I wouldn't support you either no matter how much sex you gave up. when and where does it stop. your mom prolly had a tough life growing up and is trying to toughen you up. you have crafted a very pitiful story here buy it doesn't move me enuf to send you money. everyone is down on you, they know you better than I do.
