The BEST book I have ever read, bar-none has to be "Stolen Lives" by Malika Oufkir and the second best is "False Memory" by Dean Koontz. Stolen Lives is a compelling memoir by a Moroccan woman Oufkir who was wrongfully imprisoned for 20+ years along with her mother and all of her siblings in hellish desert jails, because of a part her father played in an attempt of an overthrow of the current regime. Her entire family paid for a crime they didn't commit and never even heard of until they discovered at the very last minute what had transpired, before the father was shot.
Oufkir describes in searing detail the extreme torment her and her family underwent while imprisoned such as lack of food, medical supplies, clothes, etc. How she escaped this nightmare, you'll have to pick up the book! If you like powerful human interest stories, I HIGHLY recommend this book. It changed the way I perceived life, frankly.
The second one, "False Memory" by Dean Koontz is a stunning fictional work that centers around a collection of innocent people who are targeted by a deranged psychiatrist who has practiced mind control to destroy them and get them to basically do his bidding. The writing is sharp, powerful, and extremely exciting. ****4.

I don't know how many pages these have, but here they are: The Veiw From Saturday, Prophecy of the Stones, Ella Enchanted, Harry Potter series, Fever 1673 (something like that) and Animorphs series. I knwo at least The Veiw From Saturday has less than 300 p. but not the others. Maybe Ella Enchanted too.

Bang! is a great book.. I forget the author but it really makes you think about what people go through.. And Speak is a really good book, very interesting and makes you think not to judge people because you never know what they go through.....Also a book called Redeeming Love, which is the absolute best book I have ever read other than the Bible, and you would probably love it..Happy reading!!
